E-learning unit at the College of Business Administration


About the unit:
The focus of the unit’s work is to support policies and formulate strategies for the education and e-learning process in the College of Business Administration in its various departments by supporting a member of the faculty to play their important role as essential partners in the education process and support the college’s students to play their important role as essential partners in the learning process. Therefore, the e-learning unit seeks to improve the methods and means of education and e-learning in the College of Business Administration by setting up executive plans and programs that regulate the work of education and e-learning in the college.

Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching and learning process at the College of Business Administration and developing its outputs, and providing an electronic environment that supports the performance of the faculty member and member and motivates the students of the college through the optimal employment of correct and supportive practices for the teaching and e-learning process and for the applications of the blackboard system for teaching and distance learning in the college through the provided programs .


Objectives and tasks of the unit:
The unit seeks, through coordination with the relevant authorities, to achieve the objectives and carry out the following tasks:

Regarding the education process:
Upgrading the quality of the traditional educational process by providing teaching methods that rely on employing e-learning strategies and technologies at the College of Business Administration.
Developing the capabilities and skills of faculty members in the field of e-learning by learning about modern education methods and principles and their contemporary applications by developing continuous training plans to ensure the efficiency of performance and the quality of outputs.
Supporting faculty members in the process of gradual transformation to the electronic curriculum in offering courses by re-designing them from the traditional image to the interactive electronic style, which aims to encourage students of the College of Business Administration to think and express opinion, discussion, dialogue and questioning in order to support the independence of students and students in learning and make them a factor Important in the educational process.
Continuous evaluation and monitoring of the reality of the e-learning process in the college to work on developing scientific methods for measuring the capabilities and skills of faculty members in the field of e-learning.
Adopting programmatic digital transformation initiatives that aim to provide support to college departments to convert college courses into electronic courses compatible with e-learning standards for education issued by the National Center for E-learning. For example, the "smart bag" initiative, which includes preparing an electronic file containing a course description, slideshows using PowerPoint for all the lectures, and banks of test questions. This is to ensure the standardization of the scientific content of the course, which in turn will facilitate the process of measuring learning outcomes equitably between male and female students in different academic divisions.
Participate in setting standards for assessing the quality of e-courses in the college’s departments and following up their implementation with the College’s Quality Development Unit
Participate in setting standards for exam performance on the Blackboard platform, in coordination with the College Examinations Unit and the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology, to ensure efficient performance and to ensure standardization of standards among the college’s departments.
Representing the unit in the meetings of the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology regarding the e-learning process in the college.
Coordination with the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology to hold meetings, courses and workshops aimed at supporting faculty members in developing the level of the e-learning process in the college.
 Coordination with the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology and the Deanship of Admission and Registration in setting standards for exam dates on the Blackboard platform in coordination with the College Examinations Unit to ensure efficient performance.
Providing consultancy and implementation services to implement the e-learning system in the college.
Preparing strategic plans for the unit.
Preparing periodic reports related to the unit.

Regarding the learning process:
Providing an electronic environment that stimulates the learning process and supports the performance of students of the College of Business Administration, which contributes to achieving the maximum academic benefit.
Coordination with the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology to hold meetings, courses and workshops aimed at supporting students of the College of Business Administration to enable them to acquire the capabilities and skills necessary in the e-learning process.
Work to provide various educational resources for students of the college and that help reduce individual differences in the e-learning process.
Adopting initiatives that help college students to overcome obstacles that prevent learning materials from reaching them remotely, whether they are in remote places or have special needs.
Continuous evaluation and monitoring of the reality of the e-learning process in the college and reporting thereof to ensure continuous development.
Coordination with the Academic Advising Unit in the college to improve methods and means of virtual academic counseling for students of the college.
