The President of Taif University inaugurated the hackathon on Wednesday, marking the launch of its activities and competitions. The event aimed to foster a culture of innovation and creativity and encourage students and participants to develop innovative solutions to healthcare challenges, contributing to service development and an enhanced quality of life.

The hackathon attracted 177 participating teams, of which 99 teams advanced to the pre-final screening stage, followed by 29 teams advancing to the final screening stage. Ultimately, nine teams qualified for the final stage, with three teams representing each track.

The hackathon featured three main tracks: Track One: Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in Healthcare; Track Two: Digital Transformation and Quality of Life; and Track Three: Innovation and Artificial Intelligence and Their Role in Entrepreneurship.

The participating teams worked on developing innovative projects and solutions in an environment that fostered creativity, teamwork, and knowledge exchange, with the support of specialized committees for organization, judging, mentoring, and guidance. The hackathon also featured mentoring and guidance sessions that supported the teams in refining their ideas and further developing their projects, culminating in the presentation of their solutions to the judging committee for evaluation according to established criteria.

The hackathon concluded on Thursday in the presence of the President of Taif University and the Chief Executive Officer of Taif Health Cluster. The outcomes of the qualifying teams were showcased, and participants were recognized, bringing to a close an innovative experience that reflected the integration between the academic and healthcare sectors.

The organization of the hackathon underscores a commitment to supporting innovation, empowering young talent, and transforming creative ideas into impactful solutions and initiatives that contribute to serving the community and enhancing quality of life.
