TASKS
- Supervision of the regular review of the curriculum and address any implementation issues.
- Plan and implement CME Programs: Preparing a calendar of CME activities in consultation with various committees and academic departments.
- Follow up the implementation of the Exit Exam for students:
o A graduation test is applied to measure program outcomes based on the quality of higher
education outputs and to measure the extent to which learning outcomes are achieved in
higher education institutions in terms of quantity and quality.
o Documenting and proving it for the stakeholders of male and female students, the labour
market and other local and international higher education sectors or local and international
accreditation institutions.
o Program outcomes, according to the accreditation body, is a description of the concepts and
skills that students are expected to acquire from the program in order to achieve the
educational objectives of the program (Varma, 2006).
- Supervision and follow-up of the Progress Test
The Progress Test (PT) is the final exam in which all the learning objectives of the medical curriculum are tested and all students of different levels participate in it. The increased level of knowledge among students of different years results in different test scores which are used to assess the learning outcomes of the program and compare them to the local average (LA) of performance and the national average (NA) of performance in Saudi Arabia.
