International cooperation agreements - Medical Education

The College of Medicine implements international cooperation agreements in the fields of medical education, which are signed under the umbrella of Taif University, namely:


First: University of Illinois at Chicago - USA
An agreement was reached between Taif University and the University of Illinois in Chicago, USA, to cooperate between the two parties in the academic and research fields and clinical developmental research. The agreement includes a master's degree program in medical education for faculty members in the basic and clinical parts with the Department of Medical Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago to establish and implement Master Program in Health Professions Education (MHPE) courses at Taif University. The first batch of 14 students graduated from the master's program.


Second: George Washington University Agreement - USA.
Through which a consulting services contract was implemented for the benefit of the College of Medicine in the university.
It included the implementation of several workshops and training courses, on different topics: developing and evaluating the academic program, evaluating students and managing evaluation and measurement, teaching strategies and learning methods in medicine, ways to develop academic skills, and methods of providing feedback to students, the use of technology in designing and developing curricula, and managing learning resources.


Third: Ochsner Health System Agreement - USA.The agreement included: Graduate student training, collaboration in basic and clinical research, summer training for students and trainees, postgraduate studies for teaching assistants and technicians and medical education.


Fourth: Universiti Teknologi MARA Agreement - Malaysia. Cooperation in several areas.
Cooperation between the two parties in the academic and research fields and developmental clinical research, with the possibility of finding opportunities for joint investment regarding a student exchange program and optional clinical training for students at college of Medicine, Taif University.


Fifth: Monash University Agreement - Australia.
It has been agreed between Taif University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Monash University in Australia on scientific cooperation between them in the research of neural stem cells in the fields of Parkinson's disease or fibrosis and neurodegeneration.


Sixth: European Resuscitation Council agreement
An agreement has been reached between the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and Taif University to operate the Clinical Training and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Center at the college of Medicine, Taif University. Thirty-four Saudi doctors were trained through two training courses in cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the College of Medicine.
