Deanship of Supportive Studies received a delegation of the Northern Border University

The University of Taif, represented by the Deanship of Supportive Studies, received the delegation of the Northern Border University, within the framework of constructive directions from His Excellency the President of Taif University, Prof. Yousef bin Abdah Asiri, and the unequalled support from His Excellency the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Development, Prof. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Malki towards  Deanship of Supportive Studies with regard to provide all possible aspects of cooperation to the Northern Border University. Her Excellency the Dean of Supportive Studies, Dr. Noura bint Omar Al-Sanea, affirmed the Deanship's readiness to exchange experiences and provide all available means of support with Northern Border University. His Excellency the Dean of the Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies at Northern Border University, Dr. Farhan Al-Enezi, stated that Taif University has taken pioneering steps in the field of linking general and elective requirements and the English language under one banner representing an independent deanship in the context of graduates' attributes. Al-Enezi, who headed the Northern Border University delegation to the Deanship of Supportive Studies at Taif University, added that what we saw after a comparative study of the work of Saudi universities distinguished the experience provided by Taif University, which impressed us and we will work to benefit from it. His Excellency noted that we have come to a prestigious university with its achievements and distinction, and after visiting a number of Saudi universities, it can be said that Taif University represents for us the model that we will apply in the field of Supportive Studies. His Excellency praised the conception that presented by the Deanship of Supportive Studies at Taif University for the three-semester system, as he said that the university had contributed to reach a clear and practical conception of teaching according to the new three-semester system. The Assistant vice President of Northern Border University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhannad Al-Mutairi, explained that Taif University was able, with its pioneering projects, to face challenges to reach a rich experience that is a role model for Saudi universities. His Excellency stressed that this visit reinforced what we heard about Taif University and its achievements and contributed to the decision we took to adopt the Taif experience as a model for its implementation at the Northern Border University. A delegation from Northern Border University visited the Deanship of Supportive Studies at Taif University as part of its tour of a number of Saudi universities with the aim of reviewing the experiences of those universities with regard to the supportive studies in light of the directions of the Ministry of Education, especially after adopting the three-semester system. Al-Mutairi, Assistant Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Farhan Al-Enezi, Dean of the Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies, and Prof. Amr Hassan, the Vice Rector’s Advisor for Academic Affairs. The delegation was received by Dr. Noura bint Omar Al-Sanea, Dean of Supportive Studies, and Dr. Faris bin Abdullah Al-Malki, Head of the General Requirements Center. Dr. Noura welcomed the visiting delegation and gave a brief about the establishment of the Deanship, its future plan, and the graduate traits project, while Dr. Fares presented the most important achievements of the Deanship, its structure, its achievements and the future plans it adopted to achieve the vision and mission of the university based on the vision of the Kingdom and the instructions of the Ministry of Education regarding modernization. And development in the university education process. At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. the head of the delegation thanked Taif University, represented by the Deanship of Supportive Studies, for the good reception and the information provided. His Excellency offered to host the Northern Border University for a delegation from Taif University for further cooperation and explanation of the experience and assistance in its implementation and adoption by the Deanship of the Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies at Northern Border University.
