🎥 | A persistent cultural movement to provide the Gulf theatrical scene with young and renewed talents at Taif University Theater.

Taif University has completed its preparations to host the activities of the Sixth Gulf Theater Festival for universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries. The festival holds in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud, Governor of Taif, and in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the GCC, and the Theater Authority. The festival continues for 5 days with the participation of more than 200 participants.

  TU allocated some of halls and theaters to host the opening ceremony, events and, performances with a capacity exceeding 3,000 seats. It allocated the Great Hall Theater to hold three theatrical performances per day .The festival offers workshops, courses and lectures in the fields of theatrical arts with the participation of an elite group of specialists in theatrical directing and playwriting.

  A number of universities participate in the festival, such as (Taif University, King Abdulaziz University, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, Princess Noura University, Bahrain University, Qatar University, Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, Umm Al-Qura University, King Saud University, Taibah University, and the University of Technology and applied sciences in the Sultanate of Oman).

  It is noteworthy that the University Theater Festival for universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries was launched on May 6, 2006 in the State of Kuwait, with distinguished participation from Gulf universities.
