Seminar entitled smoking and its social effects

In cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, the University Counseling Department presented a seminar on smoking and its social effects - on Tuesday 3/23/2021, and each of Prof. Dr.. Khadija Dhaifallah Al-Qurashi, General Supervisor of the University Counseling Department, Head of the Mental Health Promotion Group, and Admission and Registration Agent at Taif University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Rajab Ali Matar Professor of Mental Health and Special Education and Head of the Academic Advising Unit at the University Counseling Department. The symposium was moderated by Prof. Saud Qasim, from the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the symposium dealt with smoking among university students
Reasons, motives and the need to educate, passive smoking and the group most vulnerable to smoking, when an individual starts smoking, and how to prevent children from falling into smoking, and the effect of smoking on the physical, family and psychological side of the individual. I also dealt with some misconceptions about electronic cigarettes and light cigarettes as well as refuting some misconceptions and flimsy justifications for smoking, She also shed light on the danger of smoking with the Kurna pandemic, practical steps to quit smoking, reasons for the failure of some people's attempts to quit, and how to overcome relapse and return to smoking. The symposium ended with interventions and questions for the attendees and answers to them from the symposium sponsors.
