Overview of the Office

The Data Management Office at Taif University establishes a set of practices and procedures to ensure the management of the university's data assets, starting from setting the data plan and developing standards and policies to implementation and compliance. It also develops, implements, and oversees plans, policies, programs, and practices to enable government entities to govern data and enhance its value as a valuable and precious asset.

Mission

The management and governance of Taif University's data, including its development, quality assurance, security, and ensuring accessibility to all relevant parties. This is achieved through the development of necessary strategies, regulations, policies, and controls, along with supporting their implementation and ensuring compliance.


Goals to be Achieved

  1. Develop strategies, systems, standards, and policies for data management and personal data protection.

  2. Build indicators to measure the university's compliance with data management regulations, standards, and policies, as well as personal data protection.

  3. Ensure the university's compliance with laws and regulations related to data protection.

  4. Raise the level of maturity in data management capabilities for the university's affiliates.

  5. Improve data quality to ensure its accuracy, reduce manual errors, and eliminate unnecessary duplication to support decision-making at the university.

  6. Collect, organize, follow up, and provide academic and administrative data and share it with internal and external beneficiaries.

  7. Establish communication controls between the office and relevant entities, both internally and externally.
