Scientific Research Day exhibition

Taif, Saudi Arabia - On Wednesday, October 30, 2024 (corresponding to 10/30/1445 H), the "Scientific Research Day" exhibition opened at the Library of the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Taif University. The exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency the Head of the Department of Laboratories, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Sharif, and Her Excellency Dr. Ahed Al-Sa'ayeri. The event was attended by His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Modi Al-Mattairi, and Their Excellencies the Vice Deans (Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Maliki, Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Maha Bakhry, Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs, Dr. Rania Muhaiwi, Vice Dean of the College for the Girls' Division, Dr. Fahd Al-Thabeti, Vice Dean of the College of Nursing, and Dr. Ahmed Karani, Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at the College of Nursing), Heads of Departments (Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, Head of the Department of Radiology and Dr. Fahd Al-Sahari, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy), and all supervisors, residents, judges, and members of the college faculty.

 

The ceremony was completed in the theater with the honoring of 40 students who have achieved scientific publication. This honor reflects recognition of the distinguished research efforts of these students.

 

Three of the 27 scientific posters were also honored. Awards were presented for the best posters based on specific criteria set by the judges.

The posters were ranked as follows:

 

First:

For students Abdullah Al-Namri, Nawaf Al-Thabi'i, and Abdulmajeed Al-Thamaali

Under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Sharif and Dr. Walaa Al-Sanea

 

Second:

For students Nawaf Al-Bardi and Turki Al-Asmari

Under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Omari and Dr. Majed Al-Hamrani

 

Third:

For students Raneen Al-Ja'eed and Layal Khayyat

Supervised by Dr. Nahed Hosaawi

 

All judges and research reviewers were also honored for their efforts and active contributions to the evaluation and arbitration of research.

 

The Head of Medical Laboratories, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Sharif, also honored the outstanding graduates of the Department of Medical Laboratories.

 

He also honored the most popular male and female faculty member in both divisions based on student votes:

The Researcher of the Year for the year 2023 was also honored:

Dr. Ahed Al-Sa'ayeri

 

Dr. Mashari Al-Suwat was also honored for receiving the highest citation for the year 2023
