Natural pesticides and their role in protecting the environment
Date : 2024-03-04 Time : 10:30:00On Monday 4/3/2024 AD, Al-Khurmah University College held an event entitled “Natural pesticides and their role in protecting the environment.” The event was presented by the Social Responsibility and Volunteer Work Unit, represented by Dr. Um Salama Abdel Majeed. The meeting aimed to introduce some relevant scientific terms, identify the most important insect pests and the various harms of chemical pesticides, provide an overview of natural pesticides, classify secondary compounds, review some commercially available plant-based pesticides, and also discuss the most important features of alternatives to natural plant-based pesticides. The event was held in the female students’ section and was witnessed by a number of faculty members and students.
