Research in surgery represents the backbone for the development of surgery. Our main target is the patient centered outcome research through a strategy to improve the surgical management of disease.

Our multidisciplinary team of researchers work on the prevention and relief of human suffering due to surgical disease, as well as developments of innovative surgical techniques through both basic and clinical research.

The principal research interests are in the areas of cancer research, critical care and trauma,  vascular surgery, surgical innovation, wound healing, bariatric surgery, chest surgery, laparoscopic surgery, pediatric surgery, ophthalmology research, orthopedic surgery research and ENT surgery research
