The family of the Faculty of Dentistry and University Dental Hospital at Taif University congratulates Dr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Zahrani. On the occasion of receiving the silver medal at the Geneva Innovation Fair held in the Swiss city of Geneva from 17 to 21 April 2023.
Dr. Ali Al-Zahrani’s participation was summarized in a patent registered with the British Office in the field of developing ceramic materials with new properties by synthesizing and manufacturing a glass system based on the elements of the nepheline rock found in nature, and then heating the developed glass and treating it using ion exchange technology, which resulted in materials with Properties that reduce current problems in dental implants

The Dean of the College of Dentistry and Director of the University Dental Hospital, Dr. Ammar bin Saleh Al-Shamrani, explained that this new scientific medical achievement comes as a result of the patronage that the higher education sector receives from the Saudi leadership, and the directives of the Ministry of Education, represented by Taif University, and its great support for the innovation and scientific research sector, which represents a pillar. A basis for achieving the aspirations and goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to support the transition towards a knowledge-based economy, by motivating researchers to submit unique, original research that leads to patents, which are supported, marketed, and demonstrate their impact.
